Statement of Faith

1. The Holy Scriptures

We believe that the Holy Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments are the Word of God, fully inspired and completely sufficient for all matters of faith and life. The Bible is the final authority by which all truth is tested and all conduct is measured. (2 Timothy 3:16–17; 2 Peter 1:19–21)

2. God and the Holy Trinity

We believe there is one, and only one, living and true God, who is infinite in being and perfection. He exists eternally in three persons — Father, Son, and Holy Spirit — equal in essence, power, and glory, yet distinct in their roles in the great work of redemption. (Deuteronomy 6:4; Matthew 28:19; John 1:1–3)

3. God's Decree and Providence

We believe that from all eternity, God has sovereignly decreed all things that come to pass, yet He is not the author of sin. Within His sovereignty, humans still maintain their free will. In His providence, He upholds, directs, and governs all creation for His own glory and the good of His people. (Ephesians 1:11; Romans 8:28; Proverbs 16:9)

4. Creation and Humanity

We believe that God created the world and everything in it out of nothing, by His Word, in six days and on the seventh day He rested, and it was all very good. He created humanity, male and female, in His own image, to know, love, and serve Him. (Genesis 1:1–31; Colossians 1:16–17)

5. The Fall of Man and Sin

We believe that our first parents, Adam and Eve, were created upright but fell into sin through disobedience. By this act, all mankind became guilty before God, corrupted in nature, and subject to death and divine wrath. Only God’s grace in Christ can save us from this condition. (Genesis 3:1–19; Romans 3:23; Romans 5:12–19)

6. God's Covenant of Grace

We believe that God, in His mercy, made a Covenant of Grace to save sinners through Jesus Christ, the Mediator. This covenant is revealed throughout Scripture and is fulfilled in the person and work of Christ for all who believe. (Genesis 12:1–3; Jeremiah 31:31–34; Hebrews 8:6–13)

7. Christ the Mediator

We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of God, became man without ceasing to be God. He lived a sinless life, offered Himself as a substitutionary sacrifice on the cross, and fully satisfied the justice of God. He rose bodily from the dead, ascended into heaven, and now intercedes for His people as our great High Priest. (John 1:14; Romans 3:24–26; Hebrews 7:25)

8. Salvation and Justification

We believe that salvation is wholly of grace, accomplished by the work of the Holy Spirit in uniting the sinner to Christ through faith. We believe that justification is God’s gracious act of declaring the sinner righteous on the basis of Christ’s righteousness, which is imputed to them through faith alone. (Ephesians 2:8–9; Romans 4:5; 2 Corinthians 5:21)

9. Sanctification

We believe that those who are saved are also sanctified by the work of the Holy Spirit, who renews their hearts and enables them to pursue holiness and good works as evidence of true faith. (Romans 6:1–14; 1 Thessalonians 4:3; Philippians 2:12–13)

10. The Church

We believe that the universal Church consists of all the elect, redeemed people of God in every age. Each local church is a visible expression of Christ’s Body — a congregation of believers and their children who gather for worship, the preaching of the Word, prayer, fellowship, and the observance of the ordinances. (Ephesians 4:11–16; Acts 2:41–47)

11. The Ordinances

We believe that Christ instituted two ordinances for His Church: (1) Baptism, which is for covenant members and administered as a testimony of faith in the risen Christ; and (2) The Lord’s Supper, a memorial of His death and a means of grace to strengthen the faith of believers. (Matthew 28:19; 1 Corinthians 11:23–26)

12. Perseverance of the Saints

We believe that those whom God has truly saved will persevere to the end by His sustaining grace. True believers may stumble but will never finally fall away from the state of grace. (John 10:27–30; Philippians 1:6; Jude 24)

13. The Christian Life

We believe that every Christian is called to walk in love, humility, and holiness, to bear witness to the truth, and to live for the glory of God in every area of life. (Matthew 5:14–16; Colossians 3:12–17)

14. The Last Things

We believe that at the end of the age, Christ will return personally and visibly to judge the world in righteousness. The righteous will enter everlasting joy in the presence of God, and the wicked will suffer eternal punishment apart from Him. (Matthew 25:31–46; 1 Thessalonians 4:16–17; Revelation 21–22)
